Post-Secondary Planning 

To help you plan your post-secondary path, SJA organizes different events:

-AARAO tour (post-secondary fair) in the fall where colleges and universities representatives are assembled in the cafeteria to answer your questions

-lunch time presentations by various post-secondary institutions throughout the year

-open houses at post-secondary institutions throughout the year

-information sessions by the post-secondary institutions throughout the year

-explore the career cruising website (username: sjam and password: careers)

- explore Career in Gear from NSCC. It uses games to help you learn more about who you are, what motivates you, how to explore occupations and discover NSCC prgrams which may align to your interests and goals.

-visit careers.novascotia.ca for career planning, education & training, labour market info and find a job.

-explore Career Compass which is an intuitive and clever new way to browse hundreds of different education path at SMU - based entirely on you and things that you're interested in.

-MyNSFuture is all about the post-secondary institutions in Nova Scotia. It will help you make a decision and give you information about paying for your education.

-book an appointment with your guidance counsellor to help you out with applications and questions.

- CampusTour.ca allows Canadian high school students to take virtual campus tours of every university and college in Canada.  Students may also click to the school's website, social media and more.

-mycampusGPS Education Consulting is a service for young people exploring post-secondary education.

You should always visit the websites of the post-secondary institution(s) you are interested in for application deadlines, scholarships, requirements, residence, etc.
